THE FIRE MAKING GUIDE

Hello! I will be your guide for the day about making fires.
How exciting...
Look at it burn....
How exciting...
Look at it burn....
Fire making, makes fire! What a surprise.
When ever you start a new fire, you will always head in the direction of moving west. This is an important thing to note!
This is what it looks like.
And with every fire...there are
These are ashes. Super rare, and possibly your grandma
Note! Ashes sell for 30-45 on the G.E! You could possibly collect them and make money, but that just makes it longer.
Another important thing is to do "endless" burning, in which you use the tinderbox on another log while walking to cancel the animation of sparking the logs and continue walking backwards. This can also happen as long as you do it in the 3 seconds interval of lighting a fire, this can be helped by the sound of the fire being made. (Sorry audi). Once that sounds end, it essentially means that your ticks have run out and you have to start a new fire by sparking it again. This way can also be achieved by walking in the other direction, but requires timing if walking and more clicks than the usual burn down the line.

(This is a free to play table)
Types of Logs | Level | Experience |
Normal Logs | 1 | 40 |
Oak Logs | 15 | 60 |
Willow Logs | 30 | 90 |
Maple Logs | 45 | 135 |
Yew Logs | 60 | 202.5 |
Above is the list that is accessible to free to play. As you notice these logs are fairly cheap, disregarding the normal logs, oaks, and hugely yew logs.
Experience gained is also pretty large, depending on the route that you go and how deep your pockets are!
Now lets explain why fire making is one of the fastest xp/hr !
There are plenty of ways to burn logs, not really just different places. You can go to varrock banks, Falador banks, edgeville banks, duel arena, the grand exchange. Essentially anywhere you'd like that had at least 2 LINES BY 26!
But Dim, why 26?!?!?!?!
Because some of you are lazy so you don't want to do other methods and just do it straight down the line then run back up and do another.
Yeah, we know. It's okay to admit it, you don't really want to get to 99 fire making that fast anyways.
But the best way is to do 4 LINES BY 13.
This can be achieve at the G.E and various other locations if you want to try. I recommend falador and varrock banks over edgeville. Edgeville is a bit more steps. (So sad.)
I've only done three areas, two of them in which I did 2 lines by 26, and one where I did 4 lines by 13.
If you'd like, you can comment more on other methods and I will credit you and add it to the guide :^).
*Varrock method is used by west banking, to fountain and down.
Woah. Big number there am I right? Even just doing willows you gain at least 100,000xp/hr just by doing the most simply method, but you gain almost over 10,000 more xp by doing the most click intensive method.
The duel arena is by far the best method for a 2 by 26, but the G.E pumps more xp/hr by doing 4 by 13.
(You may also further increase your chances of arthritis by doing 4by13. Rip hands)
How do you do 4 by 13 you ask!? Here's a video. Credit to 2227 To Max for showing me :^)
As you may have noticed, he has his logs noted which I highly encourage you to do. This decreases your seconds over, and possibly save you a few minutes within the hour of fire making, thus allowing more lines to be made and more fires to be made! Congrats on the efficiency.
I recommend the tinder box to be in the middle of your inventory as it allows you to move less overall from the bottom to top like in the video.
Remember, noted logs.
Now for the hard numbers of how much it'll cost you! And how many hours it will take!
Starting from willows...30 Fire Making
$Subject to change often
*This is using the lesser value of the G.E method (1280 logs/hr)
You can take the information above any way you want. Which ever way is fine for you, you will decide how much you want to spend anyways.
And after all those rigorous hours...
Thank you for reading!
