Hello everyone, Today I figured i would give a little insight on one of the most under-rated and unknown items to assist combat training (Range/Magic wise) in the game as well as Free to Play.
As everyone knows, food is essential to survival in Runescape whether it's bossing or strictly training, food is always a necessity.
Maintaining a healthy supply of food however can be very demanding on your cash stack.
Well today I'm here to let you in on a little secret about a DRINK which will Replenish you at an astounding rate and won't take a toll on your precious bank. It's called DRINKING WINES.
Now you may be asking, but how will drinking wines help my survival?
Well Wines are a F2P food item that will heal 11 Hitpoints but also take a -2 Stat Bonus on your Attack Level for EVERY Wine you drink.
Doing this often, after 20 Wines at 40 attack will decrease your level to 0/40 which will cause you to be unable to hit your target with Melee, but with Ranged/Magic your Attack Level isn't related to those skills so therefore it won't effect your accuracy after drinking wines.
Now you may be asking, Why buy wines when lobsters/swordfish heal 12/14 instead of 11, since every point matters.
Well lets just look at the statistics shall we? Lets look at the more commonly known traditional foods used in F2P starting with the lowest to the highest.
Shrimp: Heals 3
Bread: Heals 6
Herring: Heals 6
Trout: Heals 7
Salmon: Heals 9
Tuna: Heals 10
Lobsters: Heals 12
Swordfish: Heals 14
Pizza: Heals 7 Per Bite (14 total)
Anchovy Pizza: Heals 9 Per Bite (18 Total)
Cake: Heals 3 Per Bite (12 Total)
If we were to put Wines into this chart it would fall below Lobsters/Swordfish and Pizzas essentially (and maybe Cakes) but would outscale the rest, now why are Wines superior than all of these items even though it lowers your Melee Accuracy? Well the statistics in the Price are the reason for this. Lets skip the first few items and go straight to the ones that are most commonly used in this order. Cake, Tuna, Lobster, Swordfish.
Now Lets Include Wines into that Mix
Essentially for the price of 12 Health being 100 Gp (Cakes) and 10 Health being 90 Gp (Tunas) you can buy 22 Health for only 80 Gp (Wines) doing wines in the long run compared to Lobsters and Swordfish can save you almost 5x more health than Lobsters and almost 11x more health than Swordfish.
I hope you enjoyed this Tip, Thanks for reading.
